JOIN THE AUSTRALIAN DELEGATION AT HOT DOCS 2009
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 20 MARCH 2009
Hot Docs, North America’s largest documentary festival, conference and market, in conjunction with the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) will host an official industry delegation of Australian documentary producers and professionals, to participate in the official International Delegations Programme at the 2009 Hot Docs festival (April 30 – May 10).
As North America’s essential meeting place for the international documentary industry, Hot Docs will offer the Australian delegation invaluable opportunities to network and do business with industry leaders from Canada and around the world.
OPPORTUNITIES
The official delegation from Australia is being organised by the Australian International Documentary Conference. The Australian delegation will consist of up to 30 established producers and broadcasters working in social, cultural and political documentary genres.
Hot Docs will work closely with this delegation to provide a variety of customised profile opportunities, dedicated networking meetings, and opportunities to promote programming from Australia. The delegation will feature participants at International Co-Production Day, an intensive, day-long series of presentations, targeted one-on-one meetings and social events aimed at sparking international co-productions. The Australian delegation will also be able to network with fellow delegates throughout the Festival at specially-scheduled parties and receptions, and as accredited participants in Hot Docs’ internationally renowned co-financing event, the Toronto Documentary Forum (TDF).
Members of the delegation will also be helped with streamlining the pre-registration, travel and accreditation process.
CRITERIA
Members of the Delegation must be Australian Residents. The selection process is based on a first come, first serve basis. Individual delegate members are responsible for meeting all costs including the Hot Docs registration fee, travel and accommodation expenses.
Registration fees for Australian delegation members to attend Hot Docs and the Forum will be discounted to $425 CDN per delegate plus applicable taxes (normal cost $750 CDN per person). All delegates must be registered with Hot Docs by 20 March 2009 in order to ensure TDF Observer status.
